Brass/Woodwind Instructor: Madison Armstrong


Bio

Madison Armstrong is a woodwind doubler based in the Sacramento/Stockton
area. Originally from Las Vegas, NV, she is currently a fifth-year senior at
Sacramento State University studying clarinet performance under Professor Sandra
McPherson and jazz saxophone under Professor Mike McMullen.
Her musical experiences and achievements include winning the 2018 Sacramento
State Concerto Competition as well receiving the 2018 Saturday Club Scholarship
award. She has worked in numerous professional musical theatre pits and has
performed with various theatre companies, such as The Berkeley Playhouse (Freaky
Friday the Musical and Memphis), Stockton Civic Theatre (Matilda the Musical),
Davis Shakespeare Festival (Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder), Showbiz
Theatre (La Cage Aux Folles), and Downtown Theatre in Fairfield (She Loves Me and
Elf the Musical). Ms. Armstrong has also performed as a clarinetist with the Opera
Modesto (Mansfield Park).
In addition to playing, she is also extremely passionate about sharing her musical
knowledge through teaching private and group instrumental lessons.
