The JIVAJR is a solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez for 2020. It is a signature guitar of American guitarist Nita Strauss. Strauss is known for her work with the all-female Iron Maiden tribute band The Iron Maidens and as a guitarist for Alice Cooper.
The JIVAJR is Strauss's second signature guitar. It is a more affordable version of her JIVA10.
The JIVAJR is based on the S series. It features a quilted maple top with 3-ply binding on a meranti body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with "Beaten Path" EKG-style position markers and luminescent side dots. Components include an Edge Zero II double locking tremolo bridge, Ibanez Quantum pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil and Ibanez tuning machines.
Ebony produces a tight low and mid range with an iconic attack on the high end. It also features a quick response and rich sustain.
The Quantum pickups provide accelerated bass response for exceptionally fast tracking of high-speed staccato riffing with crushing mid range and precise high-end articulation.
