The PCBE12 features a grand concert body with a laminated spruce top on okoume back and sides. The round soundhole has an tortoiseshell rosette. The maple neck has a 20-fret laurel fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a compensated plastic saddle in a laurel bridge with black plastic bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome Ibanez tuning machines. Electronics consist of an Ibanez under saddle pickup connected to an AEQ2T preamp with on-board tuner powered by a 9V battery and a 1/4" stereo end-pin output jack.

AEQ-2T preamp is specifically-designed to adjust the frequencies of a bass and Treble, and allows operation of the built-in tuner without the instrument being plugged in.

Okoume back and sides

The Okoume back and sides generate a woody, warm tone when the guitar is played softly or finger-picked and provide punchy high-mids with a clear projection when strummed.
