About Amaya

Amaya Levels is a vocalist, drummer, multi-instrumentalist, and educator with a lifelong passion for music. Her own musical journey began with guitar before moving to drums, where her first lessons were taken at Skip’s Music more than twelve years ago.

Since then, Amaya has expanded her skills to include piano, bass, ukulele, and other instruments. She has also been singing professionally for nearly ten years, beginning in high school as the lead vocalist for the pop-rock band Music Inc.

As a performer, Amaya has appeared at respected regional venues including the Harris Center in Folsom, Harlow’s, and the Sophia Theater. She is currently the lead singer in a Pink Floyd tribute band and frequently fills in on drums for local Sacramento bands.

In addition to performing, Amaya works as a preschool performing arts teacher, sharing the joy of music with young children from infancy to age five. She brings that same energy, patience, and encouragement into her private lessons.

Amaya began her own musical journey as a Skip’s Music student and is excited to now help inspire the next generation of musicians.

Teaching Method

Amaya believes music lessons should be engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s goals and interests. Whether a student wants to build confidence as a singer, develop strong drumming fundamentals, prepare for performances, or simply learn for enjoyment, she creates a supportive environment that makes learning both productive and fun.

Her lessons focus on building strong fundamentals, musical confidence, creativity, and real-world performance skills.
